What This Calculator Can Do For You.
This calculator can help you arrive at a division of your property that is
acceptable to both parties.
It can also let you know how far from 50/50 (or other desired overall spilt) a
given property division is.
Use this calculator to help divide your assets. Enter the total value of each asset in the left-hand column. Enter the dollar amount
you think your spouse will keep in the right-hand column.

How it Works:
-
In the left hand column, you fill in the total values of the home,
cars, and other property that will be divided. In the right hand column,
you fill in the amount of each asset your spouse would keep. You also
enter the percent (e.g. 50) you want to keep overall. (Press <Tab>, not <Enter> after each
number.)
-
When you have entered all the numbers, you click "Submit for
Calculation."
-
We send you, via e-mail, the results of this calculator run, that is,
the amount of each asset you would keep, the total percent each spouse keeps
under this scenario, and how far (in dollars) you are from 50% (or whatever
percent you wanted).
-
You use this information to make your decisions and make your case.
We will calculate the following:
- Total marital property (after debts).
- Amount of marital property, based on
these numbers, that your spouse will keep.
- Amount of marital property, based on
these numbers, that you will keep.
- Percent or marital property, based on
these numbers, that your spouse will keep.
- Percent of marital property, based on
these numbers, that you will keep.
- The amount, in dollars, that has to be
re-allocated. (Example: "You have to allocate $5,000 more
to Pat -- and thus $5,000 less to Shelly -- in order for the balance
to reach the 60/40 allocation you wish.")
