Question: How do I show living expenses being reduced as children get older?

Answer: Enter an "end date" in the living expense topic for child-related expenses, corresponding with the children's emancipation, if the expenses will drop off all at once.

If there are several children, or if expenses will taper down over time, you can do the following:

1. Click "more info" on the expense line item. At the bottom of the screen, you can override the total annual amount of the expense for each year.

If there will be several stagde reductions, you can do the following:

2. On the "more info" screen, click the checkbox that says "Overridden amount resets base amount."

3. Then, you can override at the bottom of the screen each of the reduced amounts.

The software will use each threshold as a starting point for inflation increases.
