Question:

I entered an IRA and specified regular distributions. I cannot see any IRA retirement income in the year my client will retire. What happened?

Answer:

Most likely, the IRA was consumed by liquidations before retirement.

Click here for more information about liquidations

To see if that was the case, look on the Financial tab > Reports > (9) Liquidations to Cover Negative Cash Flow. If there are any numbers in the section labeled :IRA/401k distributed," then this is what happened.

For account-by-account detail of the liquidations, look on the Financial Tab > Reports > (27) IRA/401k Liquidation.

For a complete report on details of IRA inflows and outflows, see Financial tab > Reports > (61) IRA/401(k) Assets.
