The Professional Edition adds several features that are not present in the Personal Edition.
These include:
- The ability to create an unlimited number of client files. (The Personal Edition allows work for only a single client file.)
- Excel Export for two key graphs
- The ability to create and compare four side-by-side scenarios
- Alimony Buyout (present value)
- Tax analysis of Alimony vs. Child Support
- Tax analysis of who should claim exemptions
- Tax analysis of Alimony Recapture
- Tax analysis of Filing Status
- The ability to print a professional logo on the cover page of your reports
In addition, the Professional Edition has data entry that is optimized for speed of data entry. It is a forms-based approach.
The Personal Edition's data entry method is optimized for individuals going through divorce. To do that, this version emphasizes explanation and understanding over speed of data entry. It uses a question-and-answer approach, with extensive pop-up help.
The Personal Edition includes a primer on the emotional aspects of divorce, which individuals find very helpful. This primer is not included in the Professional Edition.
Data files that are created using the Personal Edition may be viewed and changed in the Professional Edition, and vice versa. The data files are interchangeable.
