Release Notes for Version 5.17 released Nov 11, 2003

The focus in this release is to make data entry clearer and easier.

All Editions that Include the Advisor module.

1. Layout changes. In order to make data entry more clear and straightforward, this release changes the organization, but not any of the actual entries, for the following topics:

· Wages & other income.
· Residence.
· IRA/401(k).

The changes were to create a level of links for each topic, thus breaking the long screen up into several shorter ones.

One benefit of this change is to allow you to know quickly which parts of the data you can skip. For example, if there is no distribution from an IRA/401(k) this year, you may skip about half the data entries.

Another benefit of this is to help you locate the data entries you need more quickly. For example, now it is easier to find "rent expense" in the Residence topic.

2. Reports. We have simplified the top of the Reports screen and added buttons to clarify how to use this page to view and print reports.

3. Recent Questions. We have added on the web a list of "Recent Questions," similar in concept to a "Frequently Asked Questions" list. This is organized by keyword for quick searching. This is accessible from the "Help" topic in the "Start" tab of the software.

4. Help. On the "Start" tab, added a new "Help" section, with access to the QuickStart guide and a "Recent Questions" digest. If you are connected to the web, you may bring up (and print) the Adobe Acrobat version of the QuickStart guide. If you do not have access to the web, we have a text-only version accessible within the program.

Professional Edition Advisor Module

1. What if. We have moved all the results on the "What If Worksheet" to the top. Also, we have converted some of the text links (copy and erase) to buttons, to clarify their action.

2. Client. We have simplified the Client tab and converted some of the text links to buttons. This should make it quicker to get oriented and load and save client files.
