Release Notes for Version 8.02 Build 360, released
February 21, 2006
In this release we focused on improvements for the state-specific
financial affidavits for New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania.
1. New Jersey Case Information Statement. We added the Case
Information Statement for New Jersey. Like all the state-specific
financial affidavits, this is available only on the Lawyer tab.
2. Pennsylvania Inventory & Appraisement. In Pennsylvania, we made
numerous changes to the financial forms: clarified headings on the
Inventory & Appraisement; enabled entry of single current date and
date-of-separation date to apply to all assets; removed "X" box to carry
alimony pendente lite to calculators; added to Melzer calculation the
option to specify that the mortgage will be divided in thirds (husband,
wife, or child) or in half (husband, wife), or in any other percent;
added section to Case & Assumptions for less-common guideline calculator
fields, to enter them there. We have also improved the carries to PA
guidelines from Income & Expense section.
3. Financial Affidavit. The generic financial affidavit now prints
only lines with data. (We have added an option to print the lines
without data as well.)
4. Lawyer Tab / Pensions. On the Lawyer tab, for Pensions, we added
interest rate.
5. Lawyer Tab / Major Expenses. On the Lawyer tab, for Major
Expenses, we added a "More Info" screen.
6. Connecticut affidavit. On the Connecticut affidavit, we added
more characters to "Insurance" field
7. New York Net Worth. On the New York Net Worth Statement, we made
numerous changes to the financial forms: we added "add another" lines
for several additional topics; we added an option to enable each
residence's expenses and utilities to be displayed separately; major
expenses now do not require start year and # years to be entered; we
added a section to Case & Assumptions for less-common guideline
calculator fields, to enter them there; we added text lines on face of
Net Worth statement to clarify mortgage expenses, baby-sitting and day
care expenses.
8. Footnotes. Footnotes now appear on the Spending Report. Footnotes
were not printing on some lines of the generic affidavit. This is now
fixed.
9. Poverty Guideline. We updated poverty guideline amounts that
affect the child support guideline calculations in several states.
10. Financial Affidavit. On the generic financial affidavit, the
wrong number was appearing for FICA. That is now fixed.
11. Alimony Payer. On the Alimony Breakeven and Alimony Calculator,
if an alimony payer has not been selected, now a screen appears to that
effect. (Before it could hang the system.)
12. Equalization Payment. On the Property Division screen, we added
an equalization amount to that screen, and an option to print
equalization payment on the Marital Property report. We also changed the
Equalization payment screen to reflect marital property. Previously, it
was oriented to marital+separate property.
13. Alimony Present Value. We changed the Alimony Present Value
calculation to reflect the present value of the after-tax value of the
payments.
