Release Notes for Version 7.07 Build 355, released 7/25/2005
This release features the new (as of August 1, 2005) Connecticut Child Support Guideline calculation, and a number of other enhancements.
1. Connecticut Guideline. The software now prepares the new Connecticut guideline. To select the new guideline, click the "Guidelines" tab, then click the "Background Info" screen, and at the bottom specify that you want to use the new guideline calculation.
2. State Tax Rates. You may now specify state tax rates separately for each party. To specify the state tax rates for each party, click the Planner tab, then the Assumptions screen, then the links in the section labeled "State Tax Rates."
3. Unknown Values. To specify that a value is unknown, type "**" in the value field. The word "unknown" will appear. Unknown values are treated as zero for the purpose of the calculations.
4. New York Affidavit. We have made a number of enhancements to the New York affidavit:
a. If you check the box indicating that the court is the Supreme Court, then that is what will appear on the affidavit when you print.
b. We added a data field for the IAS part.
c. We have expanded the case name field.
d. The "as of" date on the Net Worth Statement is now a data field.
e. We added additional lines for client telephone numbers.
f. We added a second aligned for the employer name field.
g. We made the field for educational degrees a bit longer.
h. We added a "[more info]" link for each child, so that you may specify that a child is not a child of this marriage.
3. Mortgage Refinancing and Alimony Calculator. In the immediately prior release, if you went to the alimony calculator, the amounts you entered that the party and bank would keep in a mortgage refinancing would be incorrectly set to zero. That error is fixed in this release.
