Florida Law - Must The Payer Keep The Children On His/Her Health Insurance?
Orders for support will also provide for health insurance for the minor children when
health insurance is reasonably available.
Insurance is reasonably available when either spouse has access to group health insurance
at a reasonable rate.
The court could either order a spouse to include a child on the spouse's plan or to pay
the other spouse an amount for health insurance. This is part of the child support order.
Section 61.13(1)(b).
