Florida Law - What is "Separate Property?"
Separate property is any of the following:

Property a party owned before marriage.

Property a party acquired during the marriage by gift or inheritance (but gifts from the other spouse are marital property).

Property acquired under a written agreement as separate property during the marriage.

Property received in exchange for any of these.
-
Income from these, unless that income was used or relied on as marital income.
