Anger At One's Spouse.
Men and women have affairs in anger or revenge.
Example: Jill has been carping at Charles, telling him he's not working hard enough and that
he should really be rising faster at work. Jill herself has gone back to school and is
doing quite well in her new job. In fact, Jill is on track to be making more money than
Charles. Angry at Jill for her carping, and feeling low, Charles has an affair to get back at her.
When Jill learns of the affair, she is furious. She has a quick affair herself, in part to get
even with Charles.
