Make a list of everything that is in your home Sometimes valuables have a way of "disappearing" around the time of the divorce. One party or the other wants to hide them until after the divorce and then emerge with the items in his or her possession. The way to address this is to make a list of everything that is in your home. Some divorce strategists recommend taking a video camera around the house for a narrated tour. You could say, "There's the Limoges china, there's the Jackson Pollack original painting" and so on. Then, when it turns up missing, you will be able to produce evidence that it was there. You can back this up with snapshots, which are easier to see quickly.
