Does the State Help Collect Child Alimony Payments?
While there is a nationwide network of child support collection being put into place, there
is no such network for the collection of alimony.
However, you may request the judge in your case to make a similar arrangement to
require payments of alimony straight from the payer's paycheck.
If you are an alimony recipient, and you think it will be difficult to collect alimony, you might
want to arrange to receive a larger share of property in lieu of alimony.
