Among women ages 30 to 34 in 1990,
who ended a first marriage in divorce by 1990, the duration of the
first marriage before the divorce was 4.9 years.
("Median" means that half the marriages lasted longer, half lasted
shorter. It does not say anything about "how much longer" the longer
ones lasted, or "how much shorter" the shorter ones lasted.)
