Percent of Redivorces Projected
The census bureau projects that about 40 - 47% of second marriages will end
in redivorce. The lower numbers for older women may reflect a
generational difference.
Here are the detailed projections.

Of women age 20-24 in 1990, 46.8% of those married twice will divorce a second time.

Of women age 25-29 in 1990, 42.4% of those married twice will divorce a second time.

Of women age 30-34 in 1990, 42.8% of those married twice will divorce a second time.

Of women age 35-39 in 1990, 40.1% of those married twice will divorce a second time.

Of women age 40-44 in 1990, 38.5% of those married twice will divorce a second time.

Of women age 45-49 in 1990, 40.9% of those married twice will divorce a second time.

Of women age 50-54 in 1990, 38.3% of those married twice will divorce a second time.
