Signs of An Affair
Here are some signs that your spouse is having an affair:

Away from home. Your spouse is away from home, either nights or on trips, more than previously.

Smells. Your spouse's clothes smell of an unfamiliar perfume or after-shave. You see lipstick on your husband's shirt.

Decreased sexual interest. Your spouse fairly suddenly stops being interested in having sex with you.

Money. The amount of money being deposited into your checking account drops off. This may
indicate that your spouse is spending the money on the affair.

Gifts. You find items of intimate apparel or other small gift-type items that you did not give your spouse.

Discomfort and Anger. Your spouse seems less comfortable around you and is "touchy" and easily
moved to anger. This may reflect the effort of keeping an affair hidden, fear of discovery, and guilt about
the affair.

Hang up calls. You get calls where the caller hangs up when he or she hears your voice. (Many phones have dial-back
features that let you call the last-dialed number, if you want to try it. If that number later shows up on your phone
bill, you can use a
reverse telephone directory
to find out to whom it belongs.)
