Illinois Law - How Do We Divide Part-Marital / Part-Separate Property?
Typically, if property is part-marital and part-separate, the court
will treat the property as marital property, but reimburse the
separate property contributor for the value of the contribution.
This may be money, as in the case of a home, or it may be the value
of labor, as in the case of a business.
