Illinois Law - Until What Age Does Child Support Typically Run?

Child support continues at least until the child turns age 18, or becomes independent.

The court may also award educational expenses for college or graduate school. Or, the court may order support to continue until the child finishes high school.

Also, if the child is mentally or physically disabled, the court may award child support to continue indefinitely.
