Illinois Law - Life Insurance On the Payer.
In Illinois there are no specific laws relating to life insurance.
However, the court is free to require, as part of its order, that the payer obtain life
insurance on his own life, with the recipient as beneficiary, in order to provide for
child support and maintenance in the event the payer dies before all those payments
have been made.
