Kizziah (1995) 651 NE2d 297 (parties had agreed to $606 monthly alimony until wife remarried; court
modified amount based on change in employment, despite language in the agreement that the payment
was "fixed," holding that parties need also to have said "and not subject to modification by a
court").
Lowes (1995) 650 NE2d 1171 (court could not terminate husband's $100 per month maintenance
order in order to force wife into poverty so she could qualify for Medicaid).
