Indiana Law - Can Separate Property Become Marital Property Without a Gift?
In most states, where the court seriously tracks "marital" versus "separate" property, the issue
of separate funds that are deposited into a joint bank account is a tricky one.
Not in Indiana.
In Indiana, all funds in the joint account (and separate accounts as well) are available to be divided
equally among the parties.
