Massachusetts Law - May the Court Award Attorneys' Fees. The court may award attorney's fees. That is, the court may order one party to pay some or all of the other party's attorney's fees. Section 17, 38. Cases: Moriarty v Stone (1996) 668 NE2d 1338 (In this case, the judge awarded $45,000 in attorney's fees. The total attorney's fees were $150,000.)
