Massachusetts Law - Is There a Minimum Waiting Period After Filing?

In the case of a no-fault divorce where the parties have agreed on all the terms, there is a 30-day waiting period between the initial judicial approval and the entry of a preliminary judgment, and then a waiting period of another 90 days until that judgment becomes final.

In the case of a divorce where only one party is filing, there is a minimum six-month waiting period before the court will enter its preliminary divorce, and then the 90-day waiting period until the divorce is final.
