Michigan Law - Disability Benefits
Although we have not found any cases or laws about disability benefits in Michigan,
the case law in general would seem to indicate that disability benefits would be
subject to division between the parties.
The cases that we have found indicate that pensions are subject to division, and
personal injury proceeds are subject to division. If these are both subject
to division, we conclude that disability benefits are subject to division as well.
