New York Law - What Are The Grounds for Divorce
Here are the grounds for granting a divorce in New York.

Cruel and inhuman treatment.

Non-consensual abandonment by the other party for 1 year or more prior to filing the divorce action (including lockout, or a continuing refusal to engage in sexual relations).

Imprisonment of the other party for 3 years or more years (starting after the marriage).

Voluntary adultery, but not where the spouse aided the adultery, forgave the adultery, let five years go by, or was adulterous also.

Separation judgment
granted, plus 1 year living apart after that.

Separation agreement signed, plus 1 year living apart after that. (This is the "no fault" ground, but the parties must agree to the divorce.)
