Ohio Law - Will the Court Award Temporary Spousal Support Before Divorce?
The court may provide for spousal support and child support before the divorce.
Section 3105.18(B).
Cases:
Kahn, (1987) 536 N.E.2d 678 (The court awarded the wife $2,337 per month in
temporary alimony pending the parties' divorce. After the divorce,
she was awarded property of $119,000 but alimony of only $1,000 per
month for one year. She earned about $20,000 as a nurse.)
