Ohio Law - Can the Court Order Marriage Counseling?

At any time after thirty days after filing for divorce, the court may order the parties to undergo conciliation counseling for up to 90 days.

Either party may ask the judge to do this, or the judge may decide on his or her own.

If children are involved, the court may order family counseling for up to 90 days as well.

In addition, the court may require parents to attend parenting classes.
