Pennsylvania Law - Will the Court Award Temporary Alimony Before Divorce? The court may award temporary alimony before divorce. The court may also direct that the payer spouse maintain the recipient spouse on the payer's health insurance, or acquire other health insurance, during the divorce proceedings, and that the payer pay legal fees and expenses. Sections 3323(b) and (c), 3702.
