Pennsylvania Law - Life Insurance On the Payer. In Pennsylvania, the court may order the continuance of, or purchase of, life insurance on the payer, with the recipient as beneficiary. This is in order to provide for child support and maintenance in the event the payer dies before all those payments have been made. Section 3502(d).
