When you download and install this program, you will get:

• A free promotional edition of the Family Law Software Planner.  This includes the legal and life decisions help that is available on the Family Law Software Web Site and detailed explanations of the Family law Software products.
  
• The ability, with a KeyCode, to access Family Law Software products.  When you order any Family Law Software product, we will send you a KeyCode.  You enter this KeyCode (select Help / Enter KeyCode) to use the Family Law Software product you bought.

Print this page of instructions and keep it handy to help you through your download. You can print this page by clicking the "Print" button on your browser when this page is showing.

• Be sure you have 20 megabytes free on your hard drive. The install file that you will download takes 10 megabytes. After you run the install file, the program files will take an additional 8 megabytes.
• Leave time. Your download will take approximately 20 minutes on a 56 Kbps modem.
  Note: if you have a cable or DSL internet connection the download could take 3-5 minutes.
• Standard Procedure. This is a standard Web download-and-double-click-to-install. If you are familiar with the procedure, you do not need to read further. Just click on the Download link.

1.  Download the program.

Family Law Software Planner now.

2. The "File Download" box appears on your screen. Click the "OK" button. If you are running Internet Explorer you may have a choice to "Run Now" or "Save to disk".  If you select "Run Now" you can skip the rest of these instructions.

3. A "Save As" box appears with the following information:

• Save in: desktop [or other directory name]
• File name: FLSRtl.exe [or similar file name]

4. You may keep the default directory and file names or you may choose different ones. The important thing is to make a note of your choice here. Then, click the "OK" button.

• Save in: ____________________________
• File name: ___________________________

5. A "File Download" box appears on your screen again. The download will take 20 minutes or so. You can do other work on your computer in the meantime.

6. A "Download Complete" box appears. Click the "OK" button.

7. You may disconnect from the Web and close your browser.

Run the install file:

1. Make sure you have 8 megabytes of free space on your computer. To find out how much space you have, start the Windows Explorer (not the Internet Explorer). The "Disk Free Space" appears at the bottom of the window. This should be more than "8MB."

2. Find the installation icon (see next sentence) and double-click it. Here’s how to find the installation icon. If you see an icon named split01.exe (or whatever you named the file in the download) on your desktop, double-click that icon. Otherwise, you can find the installation icon by the following steps:

• Start the Windows Explorer (not the Internet Explorer)
• go to the directory that you entered above in the space next to the words "Save in"
• find the file that you entered above in the space next to the words "File name"
• double click the icon for that file to begin installation of the software program.

3. Follow the instructions of the Family Law Software Planner Installation.

4. When you are finished with the installation, you may delete the installation file (split01.exe or whatever you named it) by dragging it into the Recycle Bin.

Start the Family Law Software Planner program:

To start the software program, select the "Family Law Software" icon on your desktop or select the "Start" menu at the bottom of your screen, then "Programs", then "Family Law Software" then "Family Law Software Planner".
