Some municipalities, particularly in Ohio and Pennsylvania, levy city wage taxes.
These taxes are a percent of gross wages paid to people who work in the cities.
To enter a city wage tax, click “more info” on the line where you enter wages. You will see an entry for a percent for local wage tax on that screen.
Separately, New York City uniquely levies an income tax. This is a tax on all income, not just on wages earned in the city.
For the New York City tax, go to the Reports tab > View/Edit Taxes, scroll to the bottom, click “more info” on State Income Tax, scroll down, and you will see a box to specify that the New York City tax applies.
